Volunteer
Every endeavor requires effort. The protection of our freedoms and promotion of true equality is no different. If you're interested in volunteering for a dedicated, small-government movement to help protect you and your family, we'd love to work with you.
Listed below are some of the positions available where we currently need assistance. If you would like to help or just have an idea that doesn't seem to be listed below, please contact Mike@MikeJohnstonForOhio.com. Please note that all positions are currently on a volunteer basis.
Volunteer Coordinator – Works to bring in new volunteers for the campaign and help them find their best fit.
Fundraising Committee – Helps to raise funding for and awareness of Mike’s campaign
Event Organizer – Works with campaign manager to schedule and setup events for Mike. Includes speaking engagements and campaign rallys. May also include fundraising events in coordination with fundraising committee.
Community Outreach – Identify and contact community groups and organizations to support the campaign and mobilize their members on Mike’s behalf.
eCommunication Manager – Works to setup and maintain social networking sites for campaign. Including (but not limited to) Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Flickr.
Materials Design – Works on mailings, handouts, fundraising, and any other printed materials to develop an overall consistent look and message.
Advertising Coordinator – Works to help the campaign produce advertisements in appropriate mediums to maximize general advertising dollars. Will include (but not limited to) internet, newspapers, radio, and broadcast and cable television.
Election Day GOTV Coordinator – Works to identify and mobilize voter base on Election Days. Will work with the Absentee/Early GOTV Coordinator.
Absentee/Early GOTV Coordinator – Works to identify and mobilize voters who utilize early and absentee balloting. Will work with the Election Day GOTV Coordinator.
Ward/Township Captain – Will work to identify and mobilize volunteers and voters within a city ward or township. Will work to identify and foster winnable precincts. Will help with precinct walks in conjunction with precinct captains and other volunteers. Will work to identify and/or organize other localized events
Precinct Captain – Will work to identify and mobilize volunteers and voters within a precinct. Will be responsible for helping to identify and mobilize a winning margin of voters in each precinct. Will organize precinct walks and other local events.
Precinct Lieutenant – Similar to precinct captain, but responsible for a smaller area such as a subdivision, apartment community, or other localized residential area.
